Trimet – The Board Members Don’t Ride The Bus!

The current TriMet Board of Directors is continuing to lie to the media, even to The Oregonian, and continues to get away with it! It is now the time to expose this board.

BRUCE WARNER

Bruce stated to The Oregonian that he rides public transit 5-8 times a week and has moved to Hillsboro. His house is close to Orenco/NW 231st MAX station, but I doubt he wants to walk the 3/4 of a mile to get to the MAX station. If you do the calculations, 5-8 times a week means you ride it once a day, one way. It’s evident he doesn’t live along a bus line, since he is all for the MAX and against the buses.

REGULAR RIDER: NO

TIFFANY SWEITZER

Sweitzer admitted that she rides the TriMet very little, and usually rides the Portland Streetcar. Of course, the Portland Streetcar is run by the CITY, not TriMet.

REGULAR RIDER: NO

STEVE CLARK HAS RESIGNED

DR. T ALLEN BETHEL

Dr. Bethel admitted to The Oregonian that he rides TriMet “Occasionally”.

REGULAR RIDER: NO

CONSUELO SARAGOZA

She admitted that her frequency on TriMet is “Weekly or less.”  Needless to say, she has other modes of transportation.

REGULAR RIDER: NO

TRAVIS STOVALL

Needless to say, Travis admitted that he is an “Infrequent rider due to the nature of [his] business”. He rides MAX the most, which is apparent since more MAX is getting built while bus lines are getting put on the chopping block.

REGULAR RIDER: NO

CRAIG PROSSER

Craig admitted that he rides TriMet “about once a month to attend Board meetings in downtown Portland and other meetings in the Lloyd District.” Need I say anything more?

REGULAR RIDER: NO

PLEASE JOIN ME TO PROTEST THIS BOARD, PURSUANT TO ORS 267.090 (2).

The Governor shall appoint as one of the directors a person who regularly uses the services provided by a mass transit system.

AT THE NEXT BOARD MEETING IS SCHEDULED FOR 9:00 AM ON FEBRUARY 27TH. THE BOARD MEETING WILL BE HELD AT THE PORTLAND BUILDING, LOCATED AT 1120 SW 5TH AVENUE, PORTLAND, OR. IT WILL BE IN CONFERENCE ROOM C. IT IS TIME THIS BOARD REALIZES THAT BREAKING THE LAW HAS ITS CONSEQUENCES.
